Most people get their first fraction of a bitcoin by purchasing it. I have personally bought bitcoin using all of these services at least once and am likely to use them again in the future. Swan (Affiliate) is a service for buying bitcoin on a recurring schedule (DCA) and automatically withdrawing.
Why I use Swan: I use Swan because their business model is what will cause hyperbitcoinization. They offer some of the lowest fees, recurring buys (DCA), and automatic withdraws. If everybody buys bitcoin on a recurring schedule and automatically withdraws to their own wallet, we will see continual upward pressure on the price. Yes, it’s that simple.

Cash App (Affiliate) is a service for buying Bitcoin on a recurring schedule (DCA), and manually withdrawing on-chain or on the lightning network.
Why I use Cash App: I use Cash App as my bank. I can receive direct deposits, deposit checks, deposit paper money, transfer USD to other banks, send USD to other Cash App users, spend USD at retail stores with the Cash App debit card, make automatic recurring Bitcoin buys (DCA), and withdraw bitcoin on-chain or on the lightning network. That is incredibly powerful.
With the Cash App, I can do just about everything I need to do at a bank but I don’t have to worry about my account getting shut down because I buy bitcoin. If you live in the US, the Cash App is an incredibly powerful Bitcoin tool that you should be familiar with.

Earn Bitcoin
Buying bitcoin is a great way to grow your stack but there are also some excellent services for earning bitcoin. You can stack sats for buying gift cards, using a debit card, shopping online, and if you have a website, you can even earn bitcoin for displaying banner ads.

A-Ads (Affiliate Link) is an advertising company that accepts bitcoin and doesn’t require personal information. If you want to advertise your product or website with bitcoin, they offer all sorts of advertising options without the need to create an account.
Why I Use A-Ads: I can advertise bitcoin focused projects in a specific country, language, or even on a specific website that has A-Ads integrated. I can pay for the ads with bitcoin. If I wanted to, I could embed A-Ads in my site but they use cross-site cookie trackers so I am trying to not rely on these kinds of ads to generate revenue.
HODL Bitcoin
After you buy, earn, accept, or even mine bitcoin, you need to control your own private keys. You can’t keep your keys on an exchange. You can’t keep them in a custodial wallet. You have to control them yourself. The most secure way to protect your keys is to use a hardware wallet for signing transactions and high quality piece of metal to store your seed phrase. Why I use Coinkite: I use the Cold Card because I can generate a seed phrase and sign transactions without having to connect the device to a computer. I can also roll dice to add entropy to the random number generator to further randomize the generation of my seed phrase.
Non-Bitcoin Affiliates
Since hyperbitcoinization hasn’t happened yet, there’s still a lot of companies that only accept fiat as payment. I still use a number of fiat based tools that you might also find useful if you decide to start your own bitcoin project. Privacy
Privacy (Affiliate) is a service that enables you to generate virtual debit cards with spending limits and restrictions set by you.
Why I use Privacy: I use Privacy to generate a new virtual debit card for every online service that I use. I am able to set limits on each card, pause/unpause cards, and close a card if I no longer need/want it. I use Privacy virtual cards for all of my online fiat spending.
